Secure by Design

OAuth access that respects your customer and team boundaries

MCP uses Passport-backed OAuth tokens owned by the authenticated customer. Tokens carry the dedicated mcp:use scope and still resolve team access through HostRepute membership rules.

OAuth Tokens

No shared team-wide secret is required. Access is tied to the user.

Scope Limited

A dedicated mcp:use scope prevents tokens from broader API access.

Connection checklist

1

Create customer-owned access

Generate the MCP token from your profile settings.

2

Connect your MCP client

Point the client at /mcp/hostrepute with bearer auth.

3

Ask with context

Use team ULIDs and host names to retrieve scoped reputation intelligence.
