Your privacy is critically important to us. At HostRepute ("we","us","our"), we have a few fundamental principles:
HostRepute operates its public product website at hostrepute.com and its customer application, account, billing, and checkout experience at app.hostrepute.com .
- We don't ask you for personal information unless we truly need it.
- We don't share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our products, or protect our rights.
- We don't store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of one of our services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Data
When you sign up for an account, we collect information that personally identifies you, such as your:

- Company name (optional)
1.2 Monitoring Data
To provide our Services, we collect and store the IP addresses and Domain names you submit for monitoring. This data is essential for the functionality of our product.
1.3 Google User Data
If you choose to connect HostRepute to Google Postmaster Tools, we access Google user data only after you authorize the connection. This access is read-only and limited to the domains you manage in Google Postmaster Tools.
Depending on the Google Postmaster Tools data available for your domains, HostRepute may collect and process:
- Domain reputation and IP reputation metrics.
- Spam rate, feedback loop, delivery error, and authentication metrics.
- Traffic statistics and other deliverability signals exposed by Google Postmaster Tools.
- Basic account and authorization details required to keep the integration connected, such as OAuth tokens and the Google account email address used to authorize access.
We do not request access to read, compose, send, or delete Gmail messages. We do not use Google user data for advertising, retargeting, personalized ads, credit-worthiness, lending decisions, selling to data brokers, creating unrelated databases, or training artificial intelligence models.
1.4 Payment Information
We do not store your full credit card information. All payment processing is handled by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com . Paddle collects and processes payment information in accordance with their Privacy Policy . We only receive limited data (such as the last 4 digits of a card and transaction history) to manage your subscription.
1.5 Usage Data & Cookies
We collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. We also use cookies to:
- Keep you signed in.
- Remember your preferences.
- Track usage patterns to improve our Services.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service: To authenticate you, process your payments, and run the monitoring checks you request.
- Communicate with You: To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages. Specifically, we send Blacklist Alerts to the email or notification channels you configure.
- Process Google User Data: To display Google Postmaster Tools reputation insights, compare deliverability trends, generate reports, send alerts, and help you troubleshoot Gmail deliverability issues for domains you manage.
- Improve Our Service: To understand how users interact with our platform and to monitor and prevent any problems with our Services.
HostRepute's use of Google user data is limited to providing and improving user-facing features that you request. We do not sell Google user data, and we do not use Google user data for purposes unrelated to HostRepute's email reputation monitoring functionality.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We may share data with third-party vendors who need to know it to perform work on our behalf (e.g., email delivery services like Postmark/AWS SES, hosting providers like AWS/DigitalOcean).
- Google User Data: We do not transfer, disclose, or sell Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve HostRepute, comply with applicable law, or protect the security and integrity of our Services.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
- Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company.
4. Data Security
We take all reasonable measures to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information. These measures include:

If you disconnect the integration, close your account, or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify stored Google user data unless we are required to retain limited records for legal, security, billing, or abuse-prevention purposes.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to — and maintained on — computers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those from your jurisdiction.
