1. Introduction

Welcome to HostRepute ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, API, and services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

HostRepute is the public brand used to provide the Services. Our official production websites are hostrepute.com for marketing and product information, and app.hostrepute.com for account registration, dashboards, billing, and checkout access. 2. Service Description

HostRepute provides scheduled blacklist monitoring and reputation management tools. We scan public Real-time Blackhole Lists (RBLs) and other data sources to provide you with the status of your IP addresses and domains.

Disclaimer: We do not control the blacklists we monitor. We cannot guarantee that a host will be delisted, nor can we prevent a host from being listed. Our Service is an information provider only.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.
  • Notify us immediately if you discover or suspect any security breaches related to the Services.

4. Billing and Payment

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com . Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and processes payments and applicable refunds. HostRepute provides product support.

  • Subscription Fees: Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the billing interval selected at checkout, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Credits: "Pay-as-you-go" credits are one-time purchases. They do not expire as long as your account remains active.
  • Taxes: Prices may not include applicable taxes, which will be calculated by Paddle at checkout based on your location.
  • Checkout Domain: Purchases are initiated from your HostRepute account at app.hostrepute.com .

5. Cancellation and Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard.

  • Effect of Cancellation: If you cancel, your subscription will stop renewing, but you will retain access to the Services until the end of your current billing period.
  • Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, including but not limited to abusive behavior, non-payment, or API misuse.

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Monitor hosts that you do not own or have explicit permission to monitor.
  • Resell the Services without our prior written consent.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or related systems.

7. API Usage

We provide an API for programmatic access to the Services. You agree to:

  • Use the API within the rate limits specified for your plan.
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer or scrape data from the API.
  • Secure your API keys and not share them with unauthorized third parties.

We reserve the right to throttle or suspend API access for accounts that degrade the performance of our system.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HostRepute shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Services.
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein.
  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the Services.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HostRepute and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. If we do so, we will post the changes on this page and indicate the date these terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Services after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
